September 2011 - CMA Foundation Golf Tournament

On September 12, the Foundation held its second annual golf tournament on the wonderful course of St-Raphaël Golf Club on Île-Bizard to benefit the next generation of CMAs. If the first tournament set the bar high for the coming years, what can be said about the second, which had a full turnout and generated net proceeds of $42,300, a remarkable amount of funds raised thanks to the enthusiastic participation of 144 golfers and the very large number of sponsors.

March 2011 – Closing event of the 2010-2014 major fundraising campaign

On March 10, the key actors in the first major fundraising campaign of the Foundation assembled to celebrate the achievement of their goal, which many considered daring, if not bold. Thanks to the extraordinary support of the CMA community and many companies, they more than achieved their goal of raising $2 million by 2014 in the campaign's very first year! The $2,068,300 raised to date will benefit a large number of future and new CMAs in the form of scholarships and awards.

September 2010 - CMA Foundation Golf Tournament

On September 13, the first-ever annual Golf Tournament of the Order’s Foundation was an overwhelming success. Although it began in the rain, it did not take long for the sun to appear, to the great delight of the 110 participating golfers. Not to mention, their enthusiastic participation and the event’s generous sponsors made it possible to raise the handsome sum of $26,130, which will be redistributed by the Foundation to the next generation of CMAs as scholarships and awards.

June 2010 - Grand Prize Gala of the 12th Quebec Entrepreneurship Contest

Quebec Entrepreneurship Contest

During the Provincial Grand Prize Gala of the 12th Quebec Entrepreneurship Contest held on June 17 at the Convention Centre in Quebec City, 41 prizes were awarded to winners from all 17 regions of Quebec. The CMA Foundation, a proud partner of the event, crowned the recipients of the new CMA Entrepreneurial Awards during the evening.

The founders of Inovae inc. (Montreal region), Yan Basile-Bellavance, Joël Lavoie, Vincent Lévesque and Hakim Rouab, won the first national prize in the Services to Businesses category of the Quebec Entrepreneurship Contest, which was a $10,000 CMA Entrepreneurial Award. Maurice Chevarie and David Demers, founders of S Automation (Eastern Townships region), won the second national prize in the Services to Businesses category and pocketed a $5,000 CMA Entrepreneurial Award.
